2004 RENDITIONS - 2004/2005 CAD SURVEY Tarrant Appraisal District Operations Data This page illustrates the total number of business personal property (BPP) parcels and the total number of parcels at each of the large appraisal districts. It also shows the level of rendition both in absolute terms and relative terms to the total number of business personal property accounts. The assessed value of business personal property varies widely from county to county depending on a number of factors. Petrochemical inventory is part of the reason that business personal property is substantial in Harris County. However, the appraisal district in Harris County is also more aggressive than the appraisal districts in other counties at locating and valuing business personal property. Tarrant Appraisal District received renditions for a/an above average/typical/below average number of business personal property. To the extent business personal property is undervalued, the tax burden is disproportionately shifted to real property and mineral property owners.
